Ephesians 1:1a in sign language

Journey with me through Ephesians (New Living Translation) as we learn it through ASL – sign language together.

Pairing Scripture memory with sign language was one of my favorite ways to hide God’s Word in my heart a young age, and I’m so excited to revisit this way to learn.

Holy Spirit has impressed on my heart to share this imperfect learning journey with you to invest and multiply it’s value.

Ephesians 1:1a, “This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus.”

Letter – This ASL sign resonated with me, because it is coming from the mouth and then is establishing what is said in a way that is tangible and real.

Chosen – Selected from one out of many.

Will – God knew in advance that Paul would write this letter to the church of Ephesians.

Apostle – The sign for this word surprised me, because it is two coming from oneself, traveling along together but in the form of one person. Could this mean that the 2nd person is the Holy Spirit? An apostle is willing to sojourn where the Spirit leads him or her.

Jesus – The nail-scarred Hands.

How are you committing Scripture to memory? What signs from Ephesians 1:1a resonated with you?
